Originally a 36×48 inch acrylic on canvas piece that spanned over three years of curating, creating the pains and depth of growing with uncertainty we all face. Layers of texture and shadow reach toward the deepest parts of the self, like those interior places where fear and possibility coexist all while subtle shifts in tone, form, and brushwork mark the stubborn, often tentative emergence of something new.
This piece honors the fragility of what we have known yet the brave turning of a new leaf toward what might be to come.
